Meca is a robot designed and built by Hoshiko. She has short blond hair, which she usually ties up in four small pigtails, and blue eyes. Although very cheerful and genki, one of her screws was knocked out upon her creation, so she has certain unusual tendancies like attacking anything that says the word "baka" and making normal items into robots. She has a very kawaii habit of saying "tsu" (kind of an electronic sound effect) at the end of her sentences.
Although Meca's name is written in kanji like "flower bud" and would be romanized as "meka", her name is written on the cover using the Roman letter C instead of K, so her Romaji name is Meca instead of Meka.
Interesting note:
In the one-shotter, her eyes were blue, and she didn't have ponytails in the back. In the serial version, her eyes are red and she has two ponytails coming from the nap of her neck. (She also somehow discovered cellphones since the last time we saw her.)
